Straight out of DC, 86 Mentality are throwbacks to a time when hardcore was about being hard and fast. Low-end eighties-sounding production is just the icing on the cake. ‘Goin Nowhere Fast” features all of 86 Mentality’s recorded material: 2004’s debut 7”, 2005’s “On the Loose” 7”, two previously unreleased tracks, an exclusive track from their 2003 demo, two live songs, and 4-SKINS and S.O.A covers. Straight up no-frills hardcore. It doesn’t get much better than this. Think Infest, Negative Approach, and Choke. You get the idea? Good stuff.
