Hailing from the UK, November Coming Fire seems to be in a bit of an identity crisis. Their latest release “Dungeness”, on Reflections Records, is twelve tracks which range from the chaotic to the sublime. Noisy guitars compete with stripped down melodies all while harsh vocals drive home intense emotions. November Coming Fire does not adhere to one style, one emotion, or even one sound. Each track is stylistically different ranging from instrumentals in the vain of Neurosis, to the chaotic fierceness of Converge; they even have hints of the smarminess of the Blood Brothers. One will definitely not get bored listening to this album. “Dungeness” is worth checking out.
